ENI is a simple system that can be used for any role-playing game. That required a GM with up to five individuals to play, and possibly looking at at least one to two hours of play. Or to simplify similar to any TTRPGs that you typically play.
With that said this has its own simple set of rules, and straight to the point of what ENIRPG is all about.
“What is this?
ENI is a super-light, role playing game rule set suitable for any setting, big on shared narrative, quick and easy to start, ideal for ANY player or wannabe GM. ENI is also a framework for experienced role players to build upon.” - Kickstarter
ENI will give the whole group a chance together to collaborate on how you want to build your world, giving everyone a chance to chip in their own thoughts on what they want out of it. With the standard of improvisation on additional world elements as you play along. Set with challenges which make sure you want to make sure you get good roles to get better options, with traditional character building. Like any traditional tabletop rpg or dnd style you will have a filled world with NPCs, with turns, initiative, rewards, and great success with high rolls from challenges.
“Why did I make this?
I'm a creative person. And what I like about role-playing games is the co-creation of the story. I want to inspire my GM to say, "Yeah, why not? Let's see what happens." or "That's even better than what I have. Let's go!" or "You really inspire me, Charlie. Thank you." Actually, that last one sounds a bit sarcastic.
At the end of the day, I just want to have a laugh. I'm not here to take the game too seriously. I like simple rules. I like rules WITHOUT exceptions, exploitable combinations, and various other considerations. I just want a few choices, a bit of luck, and let the story take its course. So I designed the lightest set of rules possible so that my friends, my kids, and I can have fun making stuff up. Thanks to the gentle push that is Zine Quest, I took the rules and made them into a zine. I love zines!” - Kickstarter
In the long run you really do not need this, but this can be a very easy assemble asset that you can use for a quick fix campaign or solo or even use as a basis for new players who would want to get into TTRPGs that are either just not entirely interested or just afraid of all the books of DnD. As an educator I find this great to get younger kids or teenagers into the TTRPG scene, and myself have purchased 2 to have on hand.
With this said the code mechanic of this is purely for story telling, and establishing role play elements for people who would want to join in, and play. Luck is another key part that makes this very fun, due to someone like me who has bad luck might make for some interesting gameplay. You can set any setting to whatever you want to create making your mind the only thing that can limit your creativity in this with your group. Which is what makes this so fun!
Here is what others are saying about this -
"I read ENI and it is SOOO good! I love it. What a great idea. It actually makes me want to play a campaign, or try running one as a GM for the first time. I've always wanted to be a GM but there were so many things to think about in game systems that I was worried I would trip up. But here everything makes sense, and feels within grasp for a first time GM. Now I want to try run an ENI campaign for my friends. Mercedes (Mandy)” - Kickstarter

“What rewards are there?
There are only two pledge levels - the only difference is shipping. If you want to hold the first zine edition of ENI in your hands, or if you just want to support me and read the updates, please become a backer. You can add more copies as Add-ons at a reduced price.
I will ship a 16-page (minimum) black and white zine, printed either A5 or slightly smaller, with a character sheet, anywhere in the world via the most cost-effective shipping method if possible. For printed matter, this is AIR MAIL, thankfully, and it is super easy to ship. Think of the zine as the same ENI you can download and try, with a few images, quotes, and tables, printed and shipped, with love, from Japan. I'm not Richard Ann Famas, but if you want a signed copy, I'm happy to oblige.
When will I get my reward?
All being well, design and proofreading will happen in September, printing and shipping will happen in October, and you should get yours by December 2022.
Lightning backers rewards will be sent out first and will arrive within 7 days.
Thunder backers rewards will be sent out there after and will arrive within 1 month.
We guarantee to ship your reward but are not responsible for the shipping company actually delivering the reward. The following rewards will be gifted to future EX1ST GAMES giveaway winners one year after the campaign ends:
Rewards that are not shipped due to incomplete surveys (please check your emails).
Rewards that were returned after being shipped (please double check your address).” - Kickstarter
“Can I sell this?
Yes. The Zines will remain at ¥990 (about $6.66) MSRP after the campaign ends. If you are a store, a school teacher, or a generous friend, please pick your pledge and then include as many copies of ENI (as add-on) as you like. Additional copies are only ¥450 (about $3.33). Man the yen is so weak now... you are getting this at a great price!” - Kickstarter
With this it sums everything up on what to expect to get from the EIN plus the Kickstarter itself. I find this truly fascinating as mentioned before myself, due to the fact it allows for the group to create something spectacular together virtually creating your very own homebrew content. You can set up a world building day, then a Character creation day, and finally starting your campaign the day after making for truly a fun willed time. Not this is not one of those professional looking Kickstarter, but this does have a lot of heart that goes into this project. Plus you just cannot beat the price of the actual product itself, and what content that it gives you. Very happy to see that they were able to reach the intended goal.
